Sofia PEDRO is a Portuguese soprano based in the Netherlands, whose bachelor studies in Classical Music and a Master degree (Cum Laude) in Early Music allowed her to explore and develop an extensive interpretation of various repertoire. As founding member of ensemble Seconda Prat!ca, she has performed in some of the most relevant Early Music festivals, as Festival d’Ambronay, Festival du Sablé, Innsbrucker Festwochen der Alten Musik, Sevicq Brezice, Oude Muziek Festival, Internationale Händel-Festspiele Göttingen, Händel Festspiele Halle, Tage Alter Musik Regensburg, Silbermann-Tage and Stockholm Early Music Festival, among others. With this ensemble, she recorded the album “Nova Europa”, released by Ambronay Éditions.
