Scott Lee EDWARDS received his PhD in the History and Literature of Music at the University of California, Berkeley, with a dissertation on music in the lands of the Bohemian Crown at the turn of the seventeenth century. He subsequently served a two-year appointment as College Fellow in the Department of Music at Harvard University and is currently employed at the University of Music and the Performing Arts Vienna as co-editor of the New Senfl Edition. His research and publications focus on 16th- and 17th-century music in Central Europe and its conjunctions with book culture, linguistics, and migration and diaspora studies.
