Pascale DUHAMEL is a musicologist and medievalist. He holds a PhD from the Université de Montréal, a postdoctorate from the Institut de Recherches et d’Histoire des Textes (Paris) and a postdoctoral licence from the Pontifical Institute of Mediaeval Studies (Toronto). Her graduate studies include training and research at the Centre d’Études Supérieures de Civilisation Médiévale (Poitiers), the École Pratique des Hautes Études (Section des sciences historiques et philologiques, Paris), and the Centre de Musique Médiévale de Paris. She has taught at the Université de Champagne-Ardenne (France), and at St. Michael’s College in the University of Toronto, has been Visiting Scholar at the Pontifical Institute of Mediaeval Studies, and guest lectured in Europe, the United States as well as in Canada. Pascale also founded the Ensemble Scholastica and was its musical director from 2008 to 2011. Since 2008, she has been teaching at the University of Ottawa, where she is now Adjunct Professor. She won recently the Fulbright Canada Research Chair at University Vanderbilt 2019- 20, during which she launched a research project on composership before music printing (12th-15th centuries).
