Maya Suemi LEMOS earned a PhD in Musicology and History of Music at the Université de Paris IV – Sorbonne. She is Professor of Music History and Musicology at the Universidade Federal do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (PPGM-UNIRIO) and Art History at the Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (PPGHA/UERJ). Her research focuses on mediation processes in music and art, especially in the Early Modern Period.
