María Elena CUENCA is an Assistant Professor at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. She also collaborates with the CRIM project of Haverford College (USA) and the CESR (Tours, France) as editor of imitation masses and their models. She has specialized in sacred music of early-sixteenth century Spain and published articles in international journals. She has contributed to the New Victoria Edition, publishing the volume 1576 by Tomás Luis de Victoria, thanks to a grant from the centre of studies in Ávila.
