Marcus HELD, born in São Paulo, is a violinist and researcher with a busy agenda as recital performer, invited concertmaster and lecturer on many occasions throughout Brazil. He holds a BMus in violin performance by FAAM, as well as a MPhil in Musicology by the University of São Paulo, where now is a PhD candidate. Held is the concertmaster of EOS Música Antiga USP and Professor (Historical Violin and Viola, History of Music) at the Conservatory of Tatuí, where he is also Chair to the Historical Performance Departament.
