Luc VALLAT studied Musicology at the University of Fribourg (Switzerland). Since March 2018, he is a PhD candidate at the University of Bern under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Cristina Urchueguía and co-supervision of Prof. Dr. Isabelle His (University of Poitiers). His study focuses on the structures of polyphonic chansons from the 1520s to the 1550s. Luc Vallat participates in various scientific conferences and events, both in his field and in related disciplines. Since the 2018-2019 fall semester, he has been leading the Renaissance Studies Reading Group at the University of Bern. He was appointed as Vice-president of the Swiss Society of Musicology (Bern section).
