Jan CIGLBAUER, Ph.D., is research fellow at Charles University, Prague. He is co- applicant of the project “Old Myths, New Facts: Czech Lands in Center of 15-century Music Development” (smnf.cz). He explores the musical culture of Central Europe in the 14th and 15th centuries with a focus on late medieval hymnology. He is especially interested in the musical life of late medieval institutions; questions of genre and the way that musical repertoire reflects social developments.
