Hein SAUER studied Musicology at the University of Music Weimar. He served as research assistant with Prof. Inga Mai Groote in the research cluster “Material Text Cultures” (SFB 933, Heidelberg) working on medieval treatises. He became a doctoral student in 2019 with a project on 16th century collection manuscripts from Neustadt an der Orla in the research group “Dynamics of Conventionality” (GRK 2212, Cologne). Since November 2020 he continues this project with Prof. Groote at the University of Zurich.
