Gottfried HEINZ-KRONBERGER studied Musicology, philosophy and history of art at Heidelberg and completed his PhD in 1997 with a thesis on “Das Klavierquintett von seinen Anfängen bis Robert Schumann”. Following work on various projects concerning musical sources, he joined the RISM working group in Munich in 2002; since 2011 he is its Head. He has published widely on musical sources related to projects he has worked on.
