Ferran ESCRIVÀ–LLORCA is Assistant Professor of Musicology at Valencia International University (Spain). His research and teaching focus on Cultural Studies in Early Modern Habsburgs and the Iberian World, historiography and music education. His focus on the Borja family in his PhD, “Eruditio, Pietas et Honor: Joan de Borja i la música del seu temps (1533-1606)”, and some articles, as well as chapters on Music History, Power and representation, enables him to participate in several multidisciplinary research teams (IHA-UJI, Musica Rudolphina, MusFONTES). He currently works on the Mediterranean area in the projects CONFRASOUND, IMIS-IBAM and Tidhismu.
