Davide CHECCHI is a Research Associate and Lecturer in Romance Philology at the Department of Musicology and Cultural Heritage of the University of Pavia (based in Cremona). His academic interests mainly concern the French and Italian poetry of the 13th century, the French and Italian texts set to music in the 14th century, and the vernacular medieval bestiaries. As part of the project “ArsNova”, his primary tasks are the critical edition and the revision of Italian and French poetic texts, and the analysis of their formal structures.
