David GALLAGHER is an Independent Scholar. His musicological and archival research focuses mainly on the history of microtonality before the twentieth century, especially the work of Vicentino; and on Italian music of the early twentieth century. He has presented papers on unusual simultaneities in Vicentino and Marenzio at MedRen in 2018 and 2019 and an article on “Vicentino’s Missing Music” will shortly be published in Basel.
