Cathy Ann ELIAS is Professor in the School of Music, DePaul University. She was honored by the Associazione Internazionale delle Città Murate Lucca for work on Claudio Baglioni (1951-), and Giovanni Sercambi (1348–1424). Her recent publications include “More on imitatio and mid-16th-century chanson masses: Erasmus on Christian reflections and lying mirrors” and “Pietro Aretino and his musical world” (forthcoming, Brill Companion to Pietro Aretino), “Liberation Theology: Affirmation and Homage in Three Brazilian Masses” forthcoming in Christian Music in the Americas, and her edition of madrigals by Antonio Buonavita (1548-1618) for The American Institute of Musicology (forthcoming).
